Tea bagging machine
The tea bagging machine is used to fill dry tea materials into paper teabags or other materials (e.g. powder, capsules, tablets, soft gels) into aluminum or plastic pouches or packets.

    TZ-001 Tea bag cut powders are loaded into a hopper and subsequently flow down to a carousel that is equipped with a rotating pan with four holes to hold four Teflon cups. Powders fill into the cups while the four cups rotate. When the cup fills at the final stage, before loading into machine-formed pouches, excess powder will be scrapped off by a spring controlled bar. Thus, the machine utilizes a fixed volume method for quantity control. The cup sizes may be changed to hold desired filling volume. The machine comes with one set of cups as per your design.

    Only the length of the tea bag may be adjusted; the width is fixed. Rolls of tea bag paper or aluminum coated with plastic may be used to form bags or pouches. The width may be changed by changing the holder/bag forming track and gears. The machine comes with one set gears and the track.

    There are two sets of the cutters (knife or cutting board) with each machine. They last for many years depending on workload and maintenence. Knives may be changed. Knife holders last longer and may need to be changed eventually. The cutter holders (cubic blocks with holes) are also changeable when worn.

  • Capacity of Work:
      Average tea bag sizes 6.3 cm x 7 cm; each contains 1.8 to 2 grams of powder.
      Production rate: 3000 tea bags per hour.
      Tea bag paper may be purchased from SUSS Technologys. Each box contains 43 to 45 lbs. paper in rolls. Each box can make ~72,000 tea bags.
      The price of tea bag paper is US$6.50/lb for 50 to 250 lbs and $6.25/lb for 275 to 500 lbs per order.
      The machine only requires attendants to feed powder into the hopper and remove assembled tea bags when the receiving tray is full. One operator may handle many machines.

  • Payment and warranty: 50% down at the time of order. The TZ-001 machine takes 1 to 2 months to assemble. May be shipped directly from Taiwan. The balance is paid before shipment. SUSS Technology Corp. guarantees the quality of the products and materials. Major components are under warranty for one year from date of reception.
